I can't believe it's October already; 12 more weeks until Christmas. TWELVE!
September was full of books that I just couldn't finish:
- Delancey - I mentioned last month that I was really struggling to get through this. I finally decided to just let it go :(
- A Man Called Ove - Despite spectacular reviews, I really had a hard time reading this. I just don't think I was in the mindset to deal with his constant complaining! This is a book that I will consider going back to, though. Since it was so popular, I'd love to give it a second chance at some point.
- Royal Wedding - Huge (HUGE!) disappointment. This is the final chapter of The Princess Diaries series; Princess Mia is now well into her 20s, but she was whining as if she were still in middle school. By the second chapter, I'd had enough.
Completed:
- The Vacationers - Pretty sure this was the only book I finished last month, but it was fantastic. A little ironic since it didn't receive the best reviews (unlike all 3 books above). It was a great end-of-summer read.
Up Next:
- Kitchens of the Great Midwest
- Delicious!
- One Foot in the Grape
- The Sharper Your Knife..., The Kitchen Counter Cooking School, and Burnt Toast Makes You Sing Good... - I put all of Kathleen Flinn's books on hold at the library, and they all came home with me on the same day. Hopefully, I can get through 2 of them this month.
Looks like October will be the month of food and wine books :)
