Hello December! Is it just me or did November fly by?!? Before we know it, it will be January. Yikes!
For now, though, my brain has shifted into holiday crafting mode. I'm currently finishing up a huge felt wreath, planning to make mason jar snow globes with my little ones and getting organized for December Daily.
Although I haven't completed a December Daily since 2011, I'm giving it another go this year. In order to ensure my success, I'm keeping things pretty simple:
I've been playing around with constructing my own fabric version of Midori Traveler's Notebook covers (often called "faux doris"). I'm absolutely loving how this turned out.
I made 2 mixed media inserts for my cover. I purposely haven't stapled the spines on them yet in case I want to make changes, do some elaborate stitching, or insert a large photo or piece of ephemera. Now I just need to make sure I keep the pages in order :)
I purposely didn't buy any specific December Daily kits this year, as my box of holiday craft supplies is already overflowing. I did, however, pick up a few bits here and there:
- twine and clothespins from the Target Dollar Spot
- a few sheets from these two scrapbooking paper lines
- super cute gold labels from Sugar Paper LA
Is December Daily on your project list this year?
