A few months ago, I hopped onto the Project Life bandwagon. I just couldn't resist!
I didn't buy the complete kit (now sold out) because I really wanted to use an album that would coordinate with the rest of my scrapbook libaray. I went ahead and just purchased the grid journaling cards and a bunch of these page protectors. Thus, I call it Project Life: Lite :)
I orginally hesitated because I assumed that the project would be laborious and time consuming. In truth, it CAN be but, if you stay on top of your photos and journaling (which I definitely don't on a consistent basis), this album is definitely manageable.
Here are a few shots of my album in progress:
opening page (in progress) - the photo at the top left is the front cover of an album my dear friend Julie made for me to start off the new year. I haven't quite decided how I'm going to finish the page off yet :)
valentine fun & scrap-a-ganza!
custom birthday t-shirt by the fantastic amy tangerine :)
wow, these photos are so bittersweet. this spread (which includes a 6-up 12x12 page protector to accomodate more photos), represents our last week in washington = lauryn's last day at school, my birthday, lauryn's birthday and our "house cooling" party. sigh.
You can read more about Project Life here. It's never too late to get started :)
These ladies have some cool Project Life albums in the works (totally worth taking a peek):
* Ali Edwards
* Autumn Baldwin
* Kaitlin Scheaffer - you must check out her shop, too. awesome.
I do have a teensy regret aobut not purchasing the entire kit. I think I would have really loved working with some of the pre-printed journaling cards. I'm actually hoping that Becky considers offering full kits without albums next year!
I'll do my best to pop back in monthly with my progress :)
